Favorite Productivity Tools

Each day, I rely on several great tools to help me get things done. The following are a few of my favorites:

*Online Banking – Lean, mean and green. I pay nearly all my bills online, cutting time, expense and waste of paper

*Google Reader – I simply love visiting all of my favorite blogs with one click of the button. Google reader also makes it easy to organize my favorite posts at various blogs for later reflection or information

*Motorola Phone Tools – My new phone now doubles as my pda. This downloadable software lets me sync my laptop and phone. My favorite feature is the fact that it lets me connect my laptop to the internet just about anywhere. Note: data fees apply – consult your cellular provider for info. on costs.

*iTunes – I'm a podcast junkie! I can get caught up on all the Catholic news while I'm doing laundry, cleaning bathrooms, or exercising

*Gmail – I downloaded the GTD application for gmail and love how this particular email service helps keep me organized

*DWLZ Restaurant Guide – Dottie has listed Weight Watchers points for over 500 restaurants. Even if you're not a Weight Watcher, it's great to check out the menu online before you visit a restaurant and plan your meal. Note: look for lower "point" value foods

What are some of your favorite tools (on the computer or off) for helping you Get Things Done? I'm always on the lookout for ways to live life more simply, so I'd love to hear your suggestions.

Wow — there is a GTD application for GMail?  I would like to get that, but the link above doesn't seem to work… Would you please share the info so I can check it out?

    Thanks!

Mary,  You crack me up girlfriend!  I so often fall short, but I hope I get an "A for effort" because I'm always trying to be better!

Lisa, I use Outlook.  I have gmail, though.

When you get a chance would you explain more about how the GTD tool for gmail works and how that compares to using Outlook?  Also does it work along with the pop service that makes your gmail come into Outlook?  You don't have to answer me in the comments, just make that a blog entry when you can.

    Thanks!
