One of the many disadvantages of being the last superpower is that we could never have a SecDef who was seriously consumed with fears of an extraterrestrial attack on Planet Earth. No. Our SecDef has to be a mere incompetent, not a full blown English eccentric in the grand tradition of English eccentrics.
