Ohio conference to defend Church priorities

The Catholic Conference of Ohio has just announced that "more than 150 Catholics in delegations from the state’s six dioceses will gather April 14 in Columbus for a daylong program" entitled "Defending our Priorities: the Sanctity of Life, the Centrality of the Family, and the Importance of Education." Ohio was chosen for one of a series of such gatherings nationwide because of its political importance as a swing state in elections.

Makes you want to jump for joy, doesn't it? Too bad the actual program is about global warming climate change.

    I looked into the Catholic Conference of Ohio website and the title that they have for the talk/program on April 14 is 'A CATHOLIC CONVERSATION ON CLIMATE CHANGE: PROTECTING THE POOR, PROMOTING PRUDENCE, PURSUING THE COMMON GOOD'.  Maybe the title was recently changed.

    The title I gave the program is a joke, i.e., "Defending Our Priorities" is the sort of program the Catholic Conference of Ohio ought to host, especially in light of Pope Benedict's statement of our 'not negotiable' values in Sacramentum Caritatis.
