rosary

by Jonathan Hunter-Kilmer

jewel hard shine glossy smooth

reach my eyes and fingers soothe

count on word assembled rope

her name whispers shouts of hope

twine or chain and bulk of trail

scintillate when mind will fail

one remembrance five a song

then surround as soul sarong

diamond, crystal, jade, shell, clay

terra cotta snare light play

notes caught by eye lash and skin

roll between and gently spin

bead of glass, You speak to me

limp become I ecstasy

body on the cross the end

circle makes, kiss, worshipped Friend

Well, thier as some who would go as far as to say the rosary is a prayer about the Eucharist.

I believe JPII oked/ advocated it's recitation and Eucharistic adoration and used some words similar to the above statement.

My memory might be faulty on that though.

I'm not very familar with the procession of the feast of corpus christi?

Because it is not a mass I think it falls under the catagory of a local tradition and probably has little or no specific rules about how it MUST be done.  There is nothing in the General instructions for the Roman Missal. Where else would a person look for 'what is permissible' in regards to a procession?

To answer your question from the opposite point of view …

On a feast day of Our Lady, for example the Immaculate Conception, the Assumption … the Mass is offered.  The Mass is offered every day.  Christ is the only reason we celebrate any feast day or pray and have a Church.  Without Christ there is no Christianity, there is no body of Christ, there is no Mother of God, there is no Church, there is no feast day for Our Lady.  But thank God and His glorious plan for our salvation, we have a risen and living Christ!

    CBurnett,

No question is a bad question.  As they say the only bad question is one that does not get asked.  But after looking at it, I am just wondering why would praying a Rosary be a problem on Corpus Christi?  I mean Christians every where celebrate Christmas by putting a nativity scene in their yard that includes St. Joseph as well as Our Lady.

    GK – God is good!

As the Institution of the Eucharist is the fifth of the luminous mysteries of the rosary, it would seem that the rosary is  appropriate for a Corpus Christi Eucharist procession.

    God bless,
